Chongmukwan started as a small hapkido club in 1987 in Urk, a small Dutch village in the middle of the Netherlands. More than 20 years later several high-ranking instructors teach at three different locations; Urk, Amsterdam and Emmeloord.

The club is a member of the Dutch HKD Federation (NHF) as well as the International HKD Federation (IHF) in Korea. Through these organizations the club has close ties with Master Ko Baek Yong (IHF 9th dan) of Sangmukwan in Seoul, South-Korea.

Our club also has close ties with other schools around the world.
